- So what’s the difference for Development Team members?We ask more of you….
- Participate in weekly/biweekly Development Program activitiesContribute to the AAVC—leadership, projects, events, … club serviceParticipate in performance testing—learning process and way to monitor progressFollow some sort of structured training—coach, book, self-designed, etc. But something that builds toward fitness goals
- Development Team is not designed for riders to stay forever; 2-5 years depending on where a rider starts (category)Assessment is intended to be self-directed and allow each rider to honestly assess their own effort and performance relative to their own and the program goals.
- The races completed will need to reflect the team members’ own goals15 is guide, not a hard and fast rule; intent is to support racing so 15 or something close will likely be easy for most team membersWe’ll do a few team races we select together — likely longer trips or big area races
- Riders participating in the Development Team should expect to progress at a rate similar to the above.
- Sample schedule is for Development Team members; Development Program activities will happen most weeks.
